Jahir is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern, and he is passionate about walking alongside people as they navigate life’s challenges and discover their strengths. Being bilingual in English and Spanish allows him to connect with individuals and families from different backgrounds, making sure everyone feels welcomed and understood.
In Jahir’s work, he uses approaches that meet you where you are and support the goals you want to reach. With Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), you can work on shifting unhelpful thoughts and patterns. Through Motivational Interviewing (MI), he’ll help you tap into your own motivation for change. With children, he often uses Cognitive Behavioral Play Therapy (CBPT), giving them a safe space to process big feelings through play. For couples, jahir draws on the Gottman Method, offering practical tools to strengthen communication, trust, and connection.
jahir’s goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes. he believes that with the right support, everyone has the ability to grow, heal, and thrive.
